ALS2000 is a complete AVC controller supplied with torch height slide suitable for TIG & PLASMA welding or optional PLASMA cutting version.

Simple to install on any power source, just plug in & use.

Standard functions & features;

• Welding torch can be positioned by the operator with the inch up & down.
• Arc voltage preset before welding & adjusted if needed when welding.
• Current sensitivity control allows setting of automatic control start/stop level.
• Adjustable pool delay allows weld pool to form before AVC takes control.
• Sensitivity & speed controls for setting response of torch actuator to arc.
• Variable auto lift function allows torch to lift up or pull away at end of process.
• Automatic or manual control of torch height.

No complicated interface is needed for the ALS2000, simply connect input supply, connect welding cable earth (+) & sense lead for voltage (-). The controller monitors the welding current in the earth return lead this allows the operator to set a start/stop level for automatic AVC control. Pool delay timer, sensitivity control & speed control of the slide allow the operator to fine tune AVC operation to suit the application. Auto lift function is to pull the torch out away from the job automatically at end of process. This is particuarly important for plasma cutting allowing a higher pierce position for the torch, ready for the start of the next cut.
